Junior Secondary School (JSS)

The schools run the national junior secondary and senior secondary programmes. In the first three years, the schools emphasis the basic skills in the core subjects which are as follows:

  1. English Language
  2. Mathematics
  3. Integrated Science
  4. Introductory Technology
  5. Social Studies
  6. Nigeria Language (L1 and L2) Igbo and Yoruba

In addition, Junior students take the full range of school subjects:

  1. French
  2. Christian Religious Knowledge
  3. Fine Art
  4. Physical Education
  5. Business Studies
  6. Computer Science
  7. Home Economics
  8. Arabic
  9. Agricultural Science

After the first three years our students take Junior School Certificate Examinations conducted by the National Examination Council (NECO). And the State conducted Junior School Certificate Examinations.

Senior Secondary School (SSS)

We use the fourth, fifth and sixth years to prepare our students for WASSCE, NECO SSCE, JAMB Exams and the Cambridge GCE Exams. All of which they take in the last year of their Senior Secondary career. Each student takes the seven core subjects which are as follows:

  1. English Language
  2. Mathematics
  3. Geography/English Literature
  4. Biology
  5. Agricultural Science
  6. Technical Drawing ORA
  7. A Nigeria Language

In addition to the core subjects a student chooses three subjects from the option which are:

  1. Physics
  2. Chemistry
  3. Economics
  4. Christian Religion
  5. Commerce
  6. Typing
  7. Woodwork
  8. Food and Nutrition
  9. Accounts
  10. Government
  11. French
  12. Fine Art
  13. Further Mathematics.

To effectively teach those subjects, the two schools are fitted with fully equipped:

  • Biology Laboratories
  • Chemistry Laboratories
  • Physics Laboratories
  • Fine Art Studios
  • Home Economics Rooms
  • Computer Rooms fitted with internet facilities.
  • Intro tech workshops
  • Language Laboratories
  • Libraries

Academic activities take 70% of our time and resources while 30% is devoted to other activities.

However, in addition to this we offer the following foreign courses to adequately prepare students who wish to further their education in universities overseas and also assist them secure admission abroad to any University of their choice:

  1. CAMBRIDGE and EDEXEL IGCSE
  2. IELTS
  • TOEFL
  1. SAT 1 & SAT 11

Academic Information

There are three broad departments instituted at both the Boarding and Day Secondary Schools as follows:

1. Department of Arts
English Language, Literature-in-English, Government, Islamic Religious Knowledge, Christian Religious Knowledge, Economics, Igbo, Yoruba, French and Social Studies.

2. Department of Science
Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Agricultural Science, Integrated Science, Further Mathematics and Geography.

3. Department of Vocational Studies
Home Economics, Fine and Applied Arts, Food and Nutrition, Technical Drawing, Introductory Technology, Accounts Commerce, Computer Studies, Music, Business Studies, Physical and Health Education.
